Here is some information about us , because it is important to know who will take care of you abroad.

My name is Janet and i am the owner of Greennature travel , I am born in the Netherlands and moved to Turkey years ago to make my dreams come true.

And yes my dreams did come true , i do what i like and i am good in my work ( organizing trips, hiking holidays , sailing holidays and, pilgrimage tours and so much more)  in a great country! It feels like i am living in paradise every day 

As i worked allready in 2003 as a guide in Kusadasi i know exactly what is nice to do and i am experienced in this buisiness. So it feels like a whole year of vacation for me. Our speciallity is traveling with small groups ( 2-14 persons) and only authentic things , so for us no lazy sand , sun and barstreet holidays. Because they are everywhere the same so then you will not even know if you are in Turkey, Greece and  or Spain. We want to show you the real Turkey, with it’s beautifull mountains, lovely locals , villagelife and traditions, stunning nature and we must not forget the great food !. Of course many nice beaches and bays, and culture and history is also very available in this beautifull country. So when you come home , you will have great memories and you can say we tasted Turkey, and we want to taste more…….. we will guide you to the fullest in the country what became my homecountry after all this years

As i lived in Kusadasi for a long time i know exactly all the nice spots over there where the general tourist do not come, 3 years ago i moved to Datca and during covid i had lots of time to discover more and more nice gems over here, as well as the Carian trail who starts in the province of Aydin and shows us all nice places from the south west part of Turkey. The Carian trail is a coastal hiking and we are pretty sure you will just love it as much as we do!

• • Hiking holiday packages 

We did choose for perfection, so your transportation is fixed here on the hiking days and we will pick you up from the airport and bring you back to the airport . Because on the Carian trail it is difficult to find a taxi or a dolmus to bring you back to your hotel. We also decided to put a guide on your hiking trails, a guide who speaks your language we found one from Izmir in Kusadasi ( i know him for many years he lived in the Netherlands as well and we share the same passion for hiking) and of course me in Datca …Most other companys are sending you on your own , but it is easy to get lost … and dangerous because you do not know the parcour And some days on our trails we do not see other people so we believe it is very nessecary that there is a guide with you . Also the guide can show you nice spots , explain something on the way and if it is nessecary he helps you out with problems. Because we hike with small groups from 2 till 15 persons our holidays might look a  bit more expensive , but  if you calculate taxi costs over your hotel price i think you are out even more cheap.

The accomodations that we selected are all  clean rooms and in the hotel sheet we do write their specifications as the distance to the centre or to the nearest market., they all have free wifi.and serve a good breakfast, they know all that you are hiking so you can make some sanwidches and take some fruit from the breakfast for in your backpack ( you do not have to feel guilty about it 🙂

On our hikes we care for each other, as we are walking we will have brakes to make pictures we wait for each other so no one is leaving behind. Also we will make some stops to drink and eat something, we have time , you are on holiday and it is important that you will enjoy that to the fullest!

Pelgrimage vacation packages.

We have been designing 2 different holiday packages.The first is the 7 churches of revelation. As you know st John was banned to the island Pathmos where he did write the letters to send them to the 7 churches of revelation, Is that not a special thing all the 7 churches of the Apocalypse are found in Turkey. Me myself i am a freak when it becomes to ancient times, buildings, and knowledge. Actualy i am not born as a Christian and i did not have any interest in believing at all. But when i have heard of the 7 churches of revelation and started to digging  into the material about st John and st Paul it has blown my mind that not only the remainings from this churches are in Turkey but also when i went hiking up the latmos mountain to the monastery from the 7 brothers ( oh yeah it was a climb) and saw the frescoes from Jesus christ under the rock from more than 1000 years old everything in my body and soul told me keep on searching. After that hiking trip with our mountainguide Sait i came home with lot’s of inspiration and photomaterial for my website and i opened imediatly my laptop and ordered a bible…… this was the start of my first footsteps to Christianity. As i bought a map the next day from Turkey it was very clear that st Paul who had his residence in Ephesus for 3 years and went from there to Antioch ad cragum near Antalya that he had huge mountains to climb to get there. As you see here is it that my big love for hiking in the mountains and christianity meet each other.

So that resulted in drawing another full holiday package with a bunch of inbound flights to see as i believe all the most important Christianity spots here in Turkey. This will be a once in your lifetime trip so it had to be a very good one. I decided to start with the 7 churches and to extend that to to place witch i loved so much not only because of it;s landscape but also for the frescoes from Jesus Christ under the rock at the latmos mountain near the bafa lake. ( i know not everyone can hike up that mountain it needs a bit of a fitness level but the area is also worth to go there, then from there move on into the footsteps from St paul. After the bafa lake we will go to Demre to visit the ancient city Myra the town where st Nicholas haeld residence for over 35 years.After we have been visiting Myra and the church from St Nicholas we move on to Antioch ad cragum . After that an inbound flight to Istanbul , As we are in Turkey you should see the Hagia Sophia because this is the only church that became a mosque in the world. And yes Experts think that Noah his arc stranded on the Agri mountain , Surprizing this mountain is also found in Turkey in a difficult reachable area but as we make a one of a lifetime trip i think you want to go here and feel the spirit . So that gives us another inbound flight. after we have ben visiting that place we will turn back to istanbul for the flight back home or you can extend your holiday in Istanbul for a few days.

Sailing holiday package
